Greene Pet Waste Removal is a local owner-operated service based in Ruckersville. I serve Greene County, north Charlottesville, and neighborhoods along the Route 29 corridor.
Your first cleanup is free, and after I see the yard, I give you a clear quote for ongoing service based on the size, layout, and number of dogs.
You do not need to be home on service day. Just make sure your dogs are inside or out of the area I am cleaning.
Choose the plan that best fits your needs and enjoy a clean yard every week, bi-weekly, or monthly.
Prices shown are for a typical yard with one dog. Add a dog for +$10/visit. Most customers pay $90–140/month.
Add a dog: +$10/visit | Waste haul-away: +$5/visit
No silly dog puns here. I save the bad puns and dad jokes for my kids. All you’ll get from me is professional, reliable service.
I’m local. I live in Ruckersville and I work in these neighborhoods every week. When you call Greene Pet Waste Removal, you get me — Justin. Not a call center, not a franchise. The same person shows up every time, knows your yard, and does the job right.
Your first cleanup is free. I’ll clean your yard at no cost on my first visit. It’s how I earn your trust before you ever pay a dime. No pressure, no obligation.
Honest, accurate pricing. The prices on this site are real — what you see is what you pay for a typical yard with one dog, plus $10/visit per additional dog. Larger or unusually heavy yards may run a little more, and I’ll confirm your exact price at the free first cleanup before you’re ever charged.
You don’t need to be home. I come on your scheduled day and do the work. Friendly dogs are welcome to stay outside — I only ask that you keep any dog that’s shown aggression inside during the cleanup. Gated yard? Share the access details and I’ll handle the rest.
Consistent, reliable service. Same day every week. Same person every time. Your yard stays clean without you thinking about it.
Greene County & Ruckersville
Ruckersville is home base. If you live in Greene County, you’re in my core service area.
Deer Lake Estates — Right here in Ruckersville with larger lots and plenty of yard space. Big yards and dogs go hand in hand — and so does the cleanup.
Carodon — Just south of Ruckersville. Spacious properties with big backyards where dogs have room to run. I’m already in the area weekly.
Greenecroft — Another established Ruckersville neighborhood. If you’re here with a dog and a yard, I can easily fit you into the route.
Four Seasons — A well-known community right in the Ruckersville area. Close to home base and easy to service regularly.
Holly Hill — In the Barboursville/Ruckersville area with nice properties and good-sized yards. Right along my regular route.
Preddy Creek — Over in Barboursville on lots ranging from half an acre to three acres. With that much yard, waste adds up fast — especially with multiple dogs.
Creekside & Village at Preddy Creek — A growing community in Barboursville with new homes going up. Moving in and want one less thing to think about? I can get you started from day one.
Stanardsville — Just up Route 29. If you’re in the area with a yard and a dog, I can work you into the route.
North Charlottesville & the 29 Corridor
The Route 29 corridor into north Charlottesville is full of family neighborhoods with dogs in nearly every yard. I service these communities on regular weekly routes.
Forest Lakes — Nearly 1,500 homes across Forest Lakes North and South. Walking trails, cul-de-sacs, and a lot of dogs. Whether you’re in Springridge, Arbor Lakes, Ravenswood, or any of the sub-neighborhoods, I service the entire Forest Lakes community.
Dunlora — An established community off Rio Road with quiet streets and well-kept yards. I service Dunlora, Dunlora Forest, Dunlora Gates, Dunlora Park, and Dunlora Village.
North Pointe — A newer community on the 29 corridor with good-sized lots. I’m already working in this area and adding customers regularly.
Belvedere — Off Rio Road with walking trails, green spaces, and a dog park. If your dog is getting as much use out of the backyard as the dog park, regular cleanup makes a difference.
Hollymead & Brookhill — Between Forest Lakes and the airport, with a mix of established homes and newer construction. Plenty of dog owners in these neighborhoods who’d rather not spend their Saturday with a bag and a rake.
Not sure if you’re in my service area? Call or text me at (434) 944-8170 — if I can fit you into a route, I will.
Do I need to be home during service? No. Most customers aren’t home when I arrive. As long as I can access your yard, I’ll handle everything. I love working around friendly dogs, so they’re welcome to stay outside. I only ask that if your dog has shown any aggression, you keep them inside during the cleanup. If you have a locked gate, share the code or leave it unlocked on your service day.
How does pricing work? The prices listed above are real, not estimates — that’s what you pay for a typical yard with one dog. Each additional dog is +$10/visit. Larger or unusually heavy yards may run a little more, and I’ll always tell you the exact price after your free first cleanup before any charge. Most customers pay $90–140 per month.
What happens to the waste? By default, I bag it and place it in your curbside trash bin. If you’d prefer I haul it away, that’s available for an additional $5 per visit.
What if it rains or there’s bad weather on my service day? If severe weather makes it unsafe or impractical to service your yard, the visit will generally be moved to your next scheduled service day. Any missed service is credited toward future visits — you never pay for a visit that doesn’t happen.
How does billing work? Invoices go out on the first of each month and cover that month’s scheduled visits. Invoices are prepayments for services not yet performed. If you start service mid-month, your first invoice will be prorated to cover only the remaining visits in that month.
Do you service multi-dog households? Absolutely. The listed rate covers one dog, and each additional dog is +$10/visit. For larger yards I’ll confirm your exact price at the free first cleanup — no surprises after that.
Is there a contract? No long-term contracts. I ask for a 3-month commitment to get your free first cleanup, but after that you can adjust or cancel anytime with a quick call or text.
What areas do you serve? I’m based in Ruckersville and service Greene County, north Charlottesville, and communities along the Route 29 corridor — including Forest Lakes, Dunlora, North Pointe, Belvedere, Hollymead, Deer Lake Estates, Preddy Creek, and more. Not sure if you’re in my area? Call or text me at (434) 944-8170.
How do I pay? I accept Venmo, Zelle, and check.
How do I get started? Fill out the form above or call/text me at (434) 944-8170. I’ll schedule your free first cleanup and we’ll go from there.
I’m Justin Mays, owner and operator of Greene Pet Waste Removal. I live in Ruckersville with my family and our dog, Sport.
I started this business because I saw a need in Greene County and the north Charlottesville area for reliable, affordable pet waste removal. No franchise fees, no corporate overhead — just me, showing up every week and doing the work.
I also manage estates and properties across the region through my other business, LM Estate Service. I know what it takes to keep a property looking its best, and I bring that same standard to every yard I service.
